EFC – Readymade Garment Sector

In order to develop the domestic export-oriented units of the Readymade garment & textile sector, an Export Facilitation Centre has been established by IIFT, Kolkata and Dept of MSME&T, whichfacilitates the textile sector in the nuances of International Business. The centre with thesupport of IIFT aims to boost the exports from this sector through handholding. This EFC plays a critical role in supporting the existing exporters as well as the prospective exporters in this relevant sector across different textile clusters of the state through assistance/ counselling related to

     ●Identification markets for the products of districts.
    ●Developing an export plan
     ●Financing export transactions
     ●Methods of handling orders and shipments
     ●Trade fair participation
     ●Sourcing of input material for exportable product manufacturing
     ●Locating the freight forwarders
     ●Letter of credit procedure
     ●Customs procedure
     ●Tariff obligation while exporting
     ●Non-tariff barriers
     ●Certification and standards
